What Is Depression, How to solved your depression problem

Assalamu Alaikum, dear readers, we all worry in one way or another, once we get depressed, it is very difficult to get rid of it, let's know what causes it and why?

What Is Depression, How to solve your depression problem

What Is Mental Health?

Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It encompasses how we think, feel, and behave, and it also influences how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Good mental health contributes to overall happiness and quality of life.

Mental illness is just a burden

There will be some changes in your body that will easily confirm that you are suffering from a mental disorder.

Maybe we suffer or are affected by mental illness in some way, be it anxiety over family events or the silent killer called depression!

All people want to live an orderly life.  We all have one desire, that is to be healthy, to lead a good and peaceful life

There are several types of depression:

1. Major depressive disorder (MDD): Characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest or pleasure in activities.

2. Persistent depressive disorder (PDD): Formerly known as dysthymia, PDD involves long-term, chronic depression lasting for two years or more.

3. Bipolar disorder: Involves episodes of depression alternating with periods of mania or hypomania, which are characterized by elevated mood, increased energy, and impulsivity.

4. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD): Depression that occurs seasonally, typically during the fall and winter months when there is less natural sunlight.

5. Postpartum depression: Occurs in women after childbirth and is characterized by feelings of sadness, anxiety, and exhaustion that interfere with daily functioning.

6. Psychotic depression: Depression accompanied by psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations or delusions.

7. Atypical depression: Characterized by mood reactivity (being able to experience temporary improvements in mood in response to positive events) and other specific symptoms such as increased appetite and excessive sleepiness.

8. Situational depression: Occurs in response to specific stressors or life events, such as loss of a job, relationship difficulties, or financial problems.

Depression:

We are influenced in various ways by the people around us, there are many people who say whatever comes to their mouth, without ever thinking that I am correcting the one whom I am hurting emotionally by speaking aggressively.

Nowadays, I see a time in which many people's fear and shame have disappeared.

Allah has given you a beautiful face, thank Allah Almighty.  By not doing so you are showing arrogance to people.  It's not just about being beautiful, but the heart must also be beautiful, take care of your face.

I'm expressing these thoughts because mental health issues don't arise from a single cause; they can stem from hurtful words, family conflicts, or descending into deep depression without support from loved ones.

Family and other problems:

That's why I expressed these sentiments. Various family events can deeply impact us, potentially leading to depression. When we invest our utmost love in someone, only to be betrayed and abandoned, the resulting grief can feel insurmountable. The mind becomes engulfed in countless tumultuous thoughts, and tragically, some individuals contemplate leaving this world as a way to cope.

 Value of life:

We have to remember that once the life is gone, it will not come back again, but if the loved one is lost from the life, it will be found again later.

In a word, if I lose one, I will get another.

Always remember one thing, everyone will use you according to need. The same goes for the family, as long as you work, you can be fine, otherwise abuse will be free + there is a possibility of kicking and spitting.

When your family turns away from you, you will realize how dark the world is, the way to live will be closed.

Physical and mental changes:

 1.  One has to live in great anxiety, nonsense thoughts come to mind.

 2.  Always being absent-minded and sitting in the corner of the house, spending time alone.

 3.  People's small talk and getting hurt.

 4.  Feeling inferior, it may seem that you have no one in the world, Allah is not helping you.

 5.  The taste of food will be completely gone, as a result, you will not want to eat anything, you will fill your stomach with only water throughout the day.  Again, many times you will see that the taste of food has increased so much that you will only continue to eat.

 6.  You will not sleep on time, you will sleep for 10-12 hours which is harmful for the body.

 7.  The weight of the body will continue to decrease very quickly, becoming thinner and thinner day by day.

8.You won't feel good, you won't get any pleasure even if you go to a wedding or a social event, or go somewhere.

9. He will wish his own death.

How to remove your depression

1.Therapy: Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common approach where a therapist helps you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to depression.

2.Medication prescribed by a healthcare professional: Antidepressant medications can help rebalance brain chemicals to alleviate symptoms of depression. They're often prescribed by a psychiatrist or primary care provider.

3.Regular exercise: Physical activity releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.

4.Maintaining a healthy lifestyle: Prioritize adequate sleep, as lack of sleep can worsen depression. Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins also supports overall well-being.

5.Building a supportive social network: Spending time with friends and loved ones who offer understanding, empathy, and encouragement can provide valuable emotional support during difficult times.

6.Practicing relaxation techniques: Mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, and progressive muscle relaxation can help reduce stress and promote relaxation, which may alleviate symptoms of depression.

7.Engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment: Pursue hobbies, interests, and activities that you enjoy and find meaningful. This can help distract from negative thoughts and increase feelings of satisfaction and pleasure.

8.Seeking professional help if needed: If depression symptoms persist despite self-help efforts, it's crucial to seek support from a mental health professional. They can offer personalized treatment recommendations and support your journey toward recovery.

It is not impossible to get rid of this mental disorder, i.e. to return to normal life, but it is a matter of time. But try to walk and eat according to the rules, sleep on time and eat open air in the afternoon to clear your mind.

I'm leaving here today, see you soon, until then, stay well, Allah Hafez…!
